Motorcycling is one of the most exhilarating yet calming sports there is.  You get on your bike and the cares of this world become non existent.  Riding on back country roads with thick green trees on both sides and a river rolling it's way to the sea.  Yet all of this can be go away in a blink of an eye.  All of us understand that our sport though it's fun, it's also very dangerous.  Life is fragile.

All of us have lost someone we love to the sport of motorcycling, or to other causes.  Spokane Biker would like to give you a place to have your loved one remembered.  This is your section, submit your photos, stories, or poems for others to see.

Dave Fyhr

July 23, 1944 - July 26, 2009

FYHR, David J. (Age 65) Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend was lifted into the Hands of The Heavenly Father on Sunday July 26, 2009. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 23, 1944. Dave was an extraordinary individual who truly lived life to the fullest and passed into eternal life doing what he loved. The void of his infectious laugh, smiling eyes, and big bear hugs is already felt by the many he has left behind. Dave was a man with many great talents and turned everything he touched into a masterpiece. A retired Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy, Dave continued his adventurous life as a proud member of: Christian Motorcycle Association - Head of Child Ministries IVER/CMA, Patriot Guard, Lilac City Gold Wings - News Editor GWTA, WA State Certified Motorcycle Instructor, Volunteered and served on the Board at Camp Goodtimes, Head Counselor for Royal Rangers, a part-time school bus driver Cheney S.D., and a dedicated member of Lake City Assembly of God in Medical Lake - Church bus driver taking kids to Sunday School. He was everything to his family from the photographer to the biggest fan of his family members' endeavors to the giver of many precious gifts. It is those gifts that will leave an everlasting memory with those who loved Dave. Possessing a heart of gold, Dave led an exemplary life of love and forgiveness. He shared this freely with all who knew him. To know Dave was to love him. Dave is survived by his wife Tina, children John (Deena), Michael, Jessica, Deanna, stepdaughter Michele (Justo) Silva, brother Dale (Ruth) Fyhr, in-laws Carlotta (John) Kallas, Mikki (Jenny) Panther, grandchildren, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM Wednesday August 5, 2009 at Heritage Chapel. Viewing will be Monday and Tuesday August 3rd and 4th 2009 at Heritage 10-5PM. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Jesuits at Gonzaga University who have become part of our family, especially Father Al Morrisette, Dave's closest friends Mitch and Sharie Williams, and the many numerous friends who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. We are at peace knowing Dave is soaring freely with his Heavenly Father. The hardest part will be waiting to soar with him. Dave will live on in his family and in the many hearts he forever touched. We love you so much Dave. Be free our friend...Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society -Camp Good Times East, 920 N. He believed his health issues were behind him and was looking forward to being active with CVMA. Mike was a United States Marine Cpl and had pulled at least one tour in RVN.

Randall Mond

Randall was a friend that I knew only a very short while, but immediately upon meeting we became close friends. We both shared a love for the 70's rock & roll, & had those old songs imprinted in our brains, & so when we began jamming it was all right there as if we had been playing together for years, we would remember songs and parts that we hadn't thought of for years INSTANTLY when we played together.

We were brothers, we had a special connection through music, and touched each other through that medium.

Randall was an amazing guitarist, & although he was missing a finger, few could keep up with him. He loved his motorcycle, his guitar, and his girl, Deanna, who was with him until his untimely end (she barely survived the crash that took his life). RIP my brother, I think of you often, and I hope we can jam again. How will I keep up when you have all of your fingers?

Kelly and Candi Johnson

Passed away April 23, 2005

It had seemed like the perfect day to feel the warm spring air, so Kelly Johnson, 46, and his daughter, Candi, 19,decided to hit the open highway.

Tucked behind her father, who was driving his 2002 Harley-Davidson, and wearing her new leather jacket, Candi Johnson was happy to finally be taking her first long motorcycle ride, said her sister, Mandy Johnson.

But Saturday's trip from their North Bend home to Tacoma would be their only motorcycle ride together.

On the way back, the two were killed when a car traveling west on Highway 18 crossed the center median and hit the motorcycle. Both father and daughter died at the scene.

A poem that goes with Russ Neely and all fallen brothers.

A gypsy wind came, on that Fall day, not a whisper or sound, it stole you away. Your untamed spirit, the world could not sway. A Harley rider to the bone, now no doubt, you would now ride alone. Your energy, your laughter will never be gone, always your memory, The Remembered One! Damnit we see you, and know you are there, only in spirit, we do now share. Your Ironhorse sits waiting right there, it says, he knew we weren't finished, we had a "RUN" somewhere. It took our Bro. rider, void of goodbye, but now he is there, where only Harley Riders glide. He's on a solo run and just clutched his last gear, and says, man, I wish you were all here! We ride in formation and say it was great, lets keep a space open, for he rides right there. No need for gas or spark plugs too, just wind in his face, as Russ says ya, I'll remember you too.....

Leo (the dog)

April 1990 to July 1996

A Devoted Husband, Loving Son, Caring Brother

A True Friend

Even though your time on earth was short, you touched so many lives, and left an impression upon our hearts that no one can deny.

You were my very dearest friend, in you I could depend, I never even had to ask you were there through thick and thin.

I remember times, even though you had worries you never shared, you were always there to let me know how much you really cared.

For we shared so many wonderful times just being the best of friends, that even though the Lord took you Home I am sad that it has to end.

You have given to us your family & friends so many wonderful memories, that I am sure we will speak of you often when sharing all our stories.

So never will you leave me heart, you will be there forever more.  For you left a footprint upon my life that I always will adore.  May you finally be at rest in the loving arms of the Lord.

I will miss you Randy!
